(The following is an excerpt from the heavily-researched book entitled UFOS AND THE NATION OF ISLAM: The Source, Proof, And Reality Of The Wheels by Ilia Rashad Muhammad. This section only partially deals with the significance of the September 17th date of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan’s vision-like experience.)
The blessed night of Minister Farrakhan’s vision occurred on September 17, 1985 in Tepotzlan, Mexico from a mountain that he had climbed many times throughout his visits there. Both the time and the location of this experience hold divine significance. It is from such mountainous settings that his vision was foretold:
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, – Revelation 21:10 (KJV)
After the Minister’s vision in 1985, Tepotzlan became a haven for UFO sightings and activities. Several local inhabitants and tourists photographed and filmed some of the most credible images of these luminous circular crafts. One of such persons was Carlos Diaz who became internationally recognized for his recorded footage and photographs of these objects in and around Tepotzlan, Mexico. Diaz, who was also an abductee, has been examined by a number of UFO critics and researchers. Here is a brief analysis concerning research of Diaz’s UFO photos:
Mexican TV journalist and UFOlogist Jaime Maussan, who has been at the centre of UFO investigations in Mexico since the wave began in 1991, believes that Diaz's UFO photographs are among the most impressive he has seen. Maussan took Diaz's photographs to Jim Dilettoso, an image processing expert at Village Labs, in Tucson, Arizona, who concluded they were genuine. After satisfying himself he was not dealing with a hoaxer, Maussan visited Diaz at his home in Tepoztlan, Mexico. There, he spoke to a number of other witnesses who claimed to have seen exactly the same type of UFO. The apparent credibility of the Diaz case has also attracted UFO researchers from further afield, who have attempted to glean insights into the alien agenda from Diaz's contactee claims.[1]
Why Tepotzlan, Mexico? This location represents a spiritual journey to the ancient home of Quetzalcoatl who is considered the Christ-type figure to the indigenous people of that area. Hence, it is associated with a messianic-type figure and experience.
One of the most mindboggling factors associated with Minister Farrakhan’s vision from Tepotzlan has to do with the Biblical calculations that signify its authenticity. Before modern Bible scholars were able to pinpoint the dates and times of Biblical events, Minister Farrakhan had been proclaiming the majesty of the vision-like experience, which occurred on September 17, 1985. One of the scriptures forecasting this vision-like experience occurs in the 8th Chapter of Ezekiel. The prophet Ezekiel, who is most commonly associated with these flying wheels, was given a vision that reads in traditional Bibles in this manner:
And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I sat in mine house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell there upon me. Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber. And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me in the visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy. And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the plain. – Ezekiel 8:1-4, King James Version
This vision describes a man who is being lifted in the spirit and shown the heavenly signs of God in what is understood to be the New Jerusalem. Even more astonishing is that years after the Minister’s vision on September 17th, Biblical scholars developed the New Living Translation Bible that was designed to offer more up-to-date calculations of Biblical dates. In this translation the same passage from Ezekiel reads as such:
Then on September 17, during the sixth year of King Jehoiachin’s captivity, while the leaders of Judah were in my home, the Sovereign LORD took hold of me. I saw a figure that appeared to be a man. From what appeared to be his waist down, he looked like a burning flame. From the waist up he looked like gleaming amber. He reached out what seemed to be a hand and took me by the hair. Then the Spirit lifted me up into the sky and transported me to Jerusalem in a vision from God. I was taken to the north gate of the inner courtyard of the Temple, where there is a large idol that has made the LORD very jealous. Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel was there, just as I had seen it before in the valley. – Ezekiel 8:1-4, New Living Translation
Is this a coincidence that Ezekiel’s foretold vision occurred on the exact same day (September 17th) as the Minister’s vision? The first edition of the New Living Translation was published in 1996. This happened 11 years after Minister Farrakhan’s vision–like experience. The theological developers of this Bible translation did not consult with the NOI for this calculation. Such mathematical precision only validates the awesome power of Allah’s prophecies and the authenticity of his servant’s experience.
Minister Farrakhan has never backed away from this out of the body experience. This should not appear strange for any researcher familiar with Biblical, Qur’anic, and scientific principles. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad explained the awesome capabilities of Allah and his angels who have the ability to tune-in and control the thinking of people. Numerous UFO abductees and witnesses have reported this type of behavior during their abductions. The Holy Qur’an further acknowledges this activity wherein it is written:
And He it is Who takes your souls at night, and He knows what you earn by day, then He raises you up therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled. Then to Him is your return, then He will inform you of what you did. – Al-An`am 6:60
This verse attests to Allah’s behavior and capabilities, which the Honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke heavily about. He taught that the prophet Jesus of 2000 years ago had these abilities, which allowed him to know the thinking of his enemies in order to avert danger.[2] According to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Jesus was an example that such technology can be utilized by the righteous:
This is what Jesus was equipped with, the knowledge of thought. That’s why he could always get away of his enemy before they got there. He had already tuned up on them. When he knew they were coming from this way, he’d go that way and they couldn’t over take him, because they were not equipped with this instrument to tune in on the thoughts of other people. He could always evade them.[3]
This ability to tune-in and even control the thinking of people coincides with many other UFO related cases that show people being put in a trance-like state during UFO encounters. Other UFO Researchers have tried to make sense of this phenomenon and have offered their speculations concerning how these ‘humanoids’ have hypnotized, ‘implanted memories,’ and ‘communicated telepathic messages’ to those who have encountered UFOs. One of these reported messages offers a striking resemblance to Elijah Muhammad’s teachings. The following is a sample of a reported message that was channeled by a so-called ‘extraterrestrial being’:
We come from the interplanetary confederation of solar systems and our purpose is to aid our brother man on the planet earth as the new age dawns. The teacher that was known to you as Jesus was able to use many more of the abilities than the people of this planet. Unfortunately man upon planet Earth has misinterpreted the meaning of this man’s life. He was no different than any of you; he was simply able to remember certain principles. These principles may be realized by anyone at any time. It is only necessary that you avail yourself to our contract through meditation in order to re-realize that which is rightfully yours, the truth of the creation, and the truth of your position in it. Know ye not that ye are Gods?...
…Man is now in the transitional period before the dawn of a new age. With peace, love, brotherhood, and understanding on man’s part, he will see a great new era begin to dawn.[4]
Whether a hoax or an actual report, the principles expressed in the aforementioned communication are the exact same teachings conveyed by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad since the 1930s. Is it simply a coincidence that several of the UFO encounters validate everything that Elijah Muhammad taught about them?
As if that was not enough, Minister Farrakhan’s September 17th communication with the (believed dead) Honorable Elijah Muhammad would hold further significance. One of the most famous international UFO abduction cases occurred on this date 12 years after Minister Farrakhan’s vision. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, President of the Republic of Kalmykia in the Russian Federation from 1993 to 2010, made international headlines when he reported being abducted by people from a circular UFO. Aside from his reputation as an international leader, Ilyumzhinov is also the President of FIDE, also known as the World Chess Federation, the world's pre-eminent international chess organization since 1995. Therefore his friendly UFO abduction was not taken lightly. His encounter with these people occurred on September 17, 1997 while he was residing in his high-rise Moscow apartment. He told The Guardian newspaper some of this event:
They took me from my apartment and we went aboard their ship… We flew to some kind of star. They put a spacesuit on me, told me many things and showed me around. They wanted to demonstrate that UFOs do exist.[5]
Clearly, if these UFO pilots whom Ilyumzhinov described as “people like us,”[6] wanted to show him that these planes exist, they picked a truly significant day. Obviously they used a credible international figure to offer more credence to the Minister’s September 17th experience. These type of patterns show that the Minister does not speak out of vain desire, but that he was shown some of the mightiest signs from his Lord.
Although President Ilymzhinov has spoken publicly about his encounter to the world for several years, these reports have somehow not reached the pages of America’s media. How is it that such internationally newsworthy information regarding an influential head of state has not reached the American public? Is this part of the mainstream effort to withhold prominent UFO facts from the people in order to keep them unenlightened?
